Kim Clement recently prophesied that there would be a massive revival via the interne
t.
He said God is going to, “give you something that is so unique that you’ll reach the unreachable and touch the untouchable.”

I believe the internet revival has already begun. God TV’s coverage of the Florida Outpouring elicited an enormous response from viewers reporting salvation, healing, deliverance, renewal, and even resurrection. Thousands of viewers experienced the glory of the Lord coming through their television or computer screen.
This week I read a prayer request for a Hindu woman who was born again as a result of communicating with a believer via the internet. She is facing persecution and possible murder at the hands of her own family. The person who requested prayer also asked for contacts who might be able to assist her.
That is only one report. The Daily Audio Bible community which includes an online forum, reaches the curious, the forsaken, the lonely, the disabled, the hopeless, and the disillusioned.
Many report disillusionment with “the church.” Like many of us, they hunger for something authentic.
According to a report cited in the New York Times, 60.3% of men and 47.4% of women claimed to feel as strongly about their online communities as about their offline. That is an amazing statistic!
Any traditional church that fails to tap into that form of community is missing out, in my opinion. Most churches have women’s groups, men’s groups, youth groups, and children’s groups. The larger churches have additional groups with more specific targets – often based on demographics such as singles, single moms, married couples, seniors, etc.
Those are reasonable ideas. However, those groups fail to appeal to a large segment of the population – which includes me. Believe me, I have tried over and over to enjoy women’s meetings, etc.
I’m looking for extreme Christianity. How many people in the average church fit into that category? Including most deacons and elders? Including most, dare I ask it, pastors?
I’m hungry for God. For His presence. For His Word. For intense and intimate worship. For a move of the Holy Spirit. For the gifts of the Spirit to flow. For *gasp* freedom to experience all of the preceding.
Last May, when I heard about the Outpouring in Florida, I could not wait to get online and check it out. From that night on, I was riveted. A few weeks later, we heard about a local pastor organizing a bus trip to Lakeland and signed up immediately.
Since then, I have discovered and connected with many hungry, on-fire believers. Some are actually in my area. Some are on FaceBook. Some on Twitter.
If someone is traveling, sick, discouraged, anxious, or in need, we pray for each other. I “know” my online friends better than most of the people I see at church once a week (or less.) (Although, I have recently “converted” some of my offline friends to online friends. Those relationships moved to a correspondingly higher level.)
I connect with many of the online friends like Cait almost everyday. Cait isn’t my age nor does she live in my state. We have little in common that would bring us together in a local church setting. Yet, when we chat online, we always experience the presence of the Lord.
So, I have no doubt we can experience a massive world-wide, internet revival. God TV is committed to it. The infrastructure is in place. The need is in place. God is willing and able.
