…my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty. Isaiah 1:5b
During worship at the Friday evening service, May 23rd at the Lakeland Civic Center, I had a vision of King Jesus. He was wearing a beautiful, ornate, filigree crown. He was also wearing an ornate coronation mantle that completely covered Him from the stand up collar down to a long train. In the vision, Jesus was so large, His mantle and train were covering about 2/3 of the congregation on the ground-floor level. His head was near the ceiling. His train seemed to be resting on and brushing the tops of the people’s heads. I was longing to be down there with them, although it seemed my vantage point allowed me to take in this magnificent sight.
I couldn’t see His face or hands or feet. The collar, crown, and mantle seemed to completely cover Him. The ornate decoration was more than I could have imagined. Most of the mantle was encrusted with what looked like yellow gold. There were many diamonds and featured larger (or perhaps goupings) of rubies (red) and sapphire (blue) stones. The outer edge was the most heavily decorated with a design in the center of the back. Even though I “saw” the mantle from the side, I knew what the design looked like.
The words from the sixth chapter of Isaiah came to mind.
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”
I fell to my knees weeping. Very soon after that, Roy Fields began to sing:
On Bended Knee I Come
With a humble heart I come
Bowing down before your holy throne
Lifting holy hands to you
As I pledge my life anew.
I worship You in spirit
Lord, I worship You in truth
Make my life a holy praise unto You.
The question, “where is the throne?” came to mind. Seemingly in answer to my question, I “heard” the word “bridegroom.”
Jesus was adorned for His bride, the church. The purity and passion of the first love we experienced during worship is the church He loves and is coming back to claim. We celebrated our groom while wearing our garments of praise.
The Spirit and the Bride say come.
For the first time, I could imagine worshiping for eternity.
Update 9/18/2008: Two weeks ago, at a prayer meeting and at a service on Saturday evening, the same prophecy was given. My husband and I were the only ones present at both meetings.
The prophecy was concerning the significance of a king’s long train. In ancient times, the long train represented the king’s ability to provide for his people. The longer the train, the greater his ability to provide.
I had wondered why in the vision, the train was extraordinarly long. Now I understand. This has been a particularly difficult summer in the area of finances – for us as well as other business people we know. Thankfully, we have a provider who is more than able. We are under His protection. Praise His Holy Name!

That’s awesome! It is similar to my vision on Realms of Glory. I love how people describe being able to understand worship for eternity now. You never want to leave that place!
