Theresa Phillips: The Scrolls Are Being Opened

Posted by: Janet on: June 2, 2009

Cindy McGill:

Cindy McGillWith all the world’s changes, you might find yourself wondering, “Where can we find a place of stability?” I am hearing of people returning to church and people leaving church. This revolving door of movement is causing us to reevaluate issues in our lives, our walk with God, our relationships and ourselves.

What is going on? Just when we think we have an understanding on things, something else comes up and we are back to this perplexing place of questioning and unsettledness. It is a “God” thing. The pressure is on and changes must be made. We are brought again and again to a place of choice. Do we choose to adjust our lives and mindsets to God’s order, or do we resist these changes and try and find comfort in the familiar ways of life we have known, yet are being shaken as well? Nothing and no one seems to be exempt from these trying times.

It Leads to Hope

While in the U.K., I had a dream about hope. In this dream, I was in a house that was not my own, and a family was in the house that I didn’t recognize. At the breakfast table, a well-known prophet was sitting there. I walked in the house, but I was covered with dirt from working outside. This prophet stood up to hug me and I quickly resisted the embrace because of the dirt. I knew in the dream that the dirt was because of hard work and not because of sin.

I asked the prophet what was going on, and his response was, “It results in hope.” At that moment he handed me a Scripture, but I couldn’t remember what it was. When I got up, I researched the Scriptures containing the word hope, and I found the one I felt he gave me in the dream. It is Romans 5:1-6:

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

“And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”

If we understand why we are going through what we are going through, then we have strength and courage to go through it. God is taking us through a time of refining and purifying to prove our character and give us hope. As the Church, we must become strong in character, living in the hope of God that does not disappoint.

The Absence of Hope Results in Hopelessness

We have the strength of God to draw from in these troubled times, but the unsaved world is becoming increasingly hopeless. People are searching, and God is raising up men and women to shine in very dark times, proclaiming truth and displaying His power and love. We are being prepared to advance forward, unhindered, and give a message of hope and refuge in times of trouble when men’s hearts would fail them for fear. It’s a process that brings about proven results. Tribulation results in perseverance or endurance. Endurance is the ability to exert ourselves for a long period of time and is a key character trait we often neglect.

Hebrews 10:36 says, “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.”

Endurance is the key to receiving the promise. So often we “jump ship” when things get hard. We often criticize what we don’t understand and make rash decisions that further delay the work in our lives. God is after something in us. He wants to perfect our character and walk with Him so our walk will not be shaken when the winds and waves hit our house.

Endurance produces proven character and proven character is moral and ethical strength that is noticed by others. It is a mind-and heart-resolve that will not yield to wrongdoing even when no one is looking. It is a built-in attribute that defines us; and proven character is a life stone that attracts God’s favor and anointing. This attribute produces hope that does not disappoint.

Learning to Cast Our Care

The word “cast” literally means to “throw with force.” As we walk through these difficult times, we must learn to cast our care on Him because He cares for us. There are things we are asked to deal with and there are things that are out of our hands to “fix.” If we don’t have the ability to “fix” something, then we must release it to the Lord and let Him take care of it. If we are weighed down with the cares of this life, we will fall under the pressure. Our hope and strength come from God, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. This dependency on God must be established in these days.

Jesus told us to take His yoke on us and we would find rest for our souls. In Matthew 11:29-30, Jesus said, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

In this place of learning to separate ourselves from things too heavy for us, we realize that we really are partakers of a Divine nature—that Jesus lives in us and is for us. He is causing us to become strong and weak at the same time. He is with us in trouble to deliver us from it, and He is making sure His face is the focal point of our lives and vision.

There is Hope in Our Future

“Thus says the LORD: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the LORD, that your children shall come back to their own border.”—Jeremiah 31:16-17

We have hope. Hope is defined as a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in our lives. God is rewarding us for the work we have done and the work we will do. He is involved in our lives and our children’s lives. The one’s we have been praying for will come back from the land of the enemy. Satan has no hold on our kids whom God has promised to deliver back to us and their borders and destinies. THERE IS HOPE IN OUR FUTURE. At the end, three things are left…faith, hope and love.

Let’s not get discouraged, but let us be encouraged that this process will result in hope and we will see God’s promises fulfilled in our lives. We can do this thing. Let’s encourage each other and get God’s perspective on this, and we’ll all experience this victory together.

Bless ya,

Cindy McGill

Revival – Date With Destiny

Posted by: Janet on: May 31, 2009

Kari Browning with Shawn Bolz:

Kari BrowningOn Mother’s Day, 1980, God used a young hippie preacher named Lonnie Frisbee to bring revival to John Wimber’s church in Yorba Linda, California. The Vineyard movement was birthed during that season. It was an exciting time of the Kingdom being demonstrated through healing, deliverance, prophecy and signs and wonders.

Below are three separate experiences from three different individuals, all tied together with Isaiah 22 in mind:

1. On November 17, 2003, I had a dream that John Wimber’s secretary called me and told me that he was coming on 2/22. I knew the dream was symbolic because John had passed away in 1997. I was shocked when I later read that he had died on November 17—the date I had the dream. I felt the dream had to do with Isaiah 22:22, “I will place on His shoulder the key to the house of David; what He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.”

2. On February 25, 2009, Shawn Bolz had a dream about breakthrough coming to California. In the dream he was given 22 stakes, and on 11 of them Shawn painted the word “Breakthrough” and images of “keys and crowns.” When he awoke from the dream, he felt that the 22 stakes represented Isaiah 22:22. I knew that John Wimber’s birth date was February 25—the date Shawn had the dream.

3. After hearing Shawn’s dream, I remembered reading Lou Engle’s book Digging the Wells of Revival, in which he shared that in 1998 he went to Bonnie Brae Street, where the Azusa revival had started with a group of intercessors. They drove a stake into the ground, declaring that the revival well in Los Angeles would again burst forth. When Lou got back in his car, the clock read 2:22. He thought of Isaiah 22:22 and realized that God had given him a key to open that well.

I was amazed at the thread I saw in these three experiences. Obviously, God was emphasizing Isaiah 22:22. When I studied that Scripture in context, I saw that Eliakim was given the key of David. Eliakim’s name means “God will promote.” It is recorded that he was a servant and a father. I believe John Wimber had those same character qualities and God used him to raise up a movement that changed the face of the Church.

We also read in Isaiah 22 that Shebna was fired from his position. He was building a monument to himself like King Saul did. The application for this today is: those who walk in humility and brokenness will be promoted and those who walk in pride will be removed from their positions.

John Wimber’s Message

John Wimber

John Wimber’s main message was the Kingdom of God. He believed that “everyone can play” and he activated and mobilized the Church to “do the stuff.” I believe there will be a return to the simplicity of the Kingdom message and we’ll see Heaven come to earth. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom! (see Luke 12:32).

Shawn Bolz was a young boy in John Wimber’s church (which at the time was a Calvary Chapel) on Mother’s Day 1980, when Lonnie Frisbee asked everyone under the age of 25 to come forward. Lonnie uttered his famous prophecy, “The Church has for years grieved the Holy Spirit, but He’s getting over it! Come, Holy Spirit!” Hundreds were filled with the Holy Spirit at the same time and began shouting out loud in tongues. The chairs were falling over and the people were falling on top of the chairs. Everyone was in shock, including John Wimber.

John Wimber didn’t sleep that night. He stayed up reading books on Church history and revivals, and he prayed all night. About 5am, Tom Stipe, a pastor in Denver, called and said, “I don’t know what’s going on there, John, but the Lord woke me and told me to call and tell you that it’s Him. Does that make sense?”

When John was met the next morning by unhappy staff, he told them that he would always choose the moving of the Holy Spirit over what people thought was the smart thing to do. It was a defining moment. A revival broke out among the young people and there were many conversions.

Recollection from Shawn Bolz

Shawn BolzThe Manifest Presence of Revival: When I was in the service that Lonnie Frisbee shared his ministry, I was only a child but my whole perspective changed about God. I watched as this guy just asked the Holy Spirit to come, and our whole group of junior high schoolers fell at once! I knew a lot of the junior high schoolers and looked up to them; nothing like this had ever happened. My parents had a home group for high schoolers since there wasn’t a youth pastor yet. I knew it was God because I knew this group of high schoolers. We had a fun children’s ministry too, but I don’t think any kid in the church ever had an encounter past speaking in tongues and seeing some healings.

I looked at my family as the first wave of the Holy Spirit was resting on many people. My mom and dad were terrified—like probably half of the congregation! They had never seen power like this. Then some of the high school kids got hit by this wave of the presence of God. My parents weren’t sure, like many other leaders that night. At this point people all around the room were amazed—knowing it wasn’t fake. It was real power but where did it come from? How was Lonnie accessing this? All I can remember at that point was wanting to encounter God and the Holy Spirit. I was so young!

Later in life I got to spend some time with John Wimber on some ministry trips. One evening we had ministered together all night at a youth conference in California. John asked the Holy Spirit to come just like Lonnie had years before. The room was like a crashing wave of power! John was so comfortable, and he was just introduced to the Holy Spirit’s radical side. I loved his calm confidence. Afterwards, I went up to him and asked him to pray for me—to walk in what he walked in. He said, “Only if you release it to others when they ask you. This is meant for everybody to walk in.”

I have never shared this story publicly, but I know it was a key commissioning to my life—it was an activation anointing. I remember my mother loving John’s heart because she said he had the heart of David. I felt this was a key when she shared this—to give it all away. I am so grateful for these Isaiah 22:22 men who went before us and showed us how to steward the key of David.—Shawn Bolz, Senior Pastor, Expression58 Ministries

Five Angels and Five Highways of Revival

Posted by: Janet on: May 20, 2009

by Jeff Jansen:

Jeff Jansen

The Five Angels

While ministering in San Diego recently, the Lord revealed to me five angels that have been released in North America to bring revival fires to key cities. These five angels will be moving along five key highways that crisscross the United States. These highways will be known as Revival Highways.

Bob Jones had a visitation several years ago from an angel named Breakthrough Revival. This angel had 11 other resurrection angels with him and he told Bob he had been sent to the States to prepare America for the greatest revival she had ever seen. This angel told Bob that he had previously been assigned to a man by the name of Benson Idahosa from Nigeria, but he had now come to the States. This angel said that stadiums would not be able to hold the masses of people and they would have to go to the open fields. The angel said to Bob, “Tell the people three words, ‘MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!’ We’ll be moving with those that move in the things of God.”

The angels of God are looking for the sons and daughters of the Kingdom to start decreeing and moving in faith. As we begin to speak as God’s authority on the earth, all of Heaven will come to back our words. The angels are being released to facilitate the will of God on the earth.

The five angels that have been released are: Breakthrough Revival, Winds of Change, Healing Revival, Great Grace, and Wisdom. I’ve encountered each of these angels over the past few years in key meetings as we’ve ministered and brought a powerful release of revelation, miracles, signs, and wonders. Each time I’ve seen them, it’s been in meetings located directly off of major interstates and intersections in North America. The five main revival highways are not exclusive in themselves as revival fires will burn all across the United States, but the places I’ve seen these angels move have been off of these key highways:

The 5 Highways of Revival

1. Interstate 5 runs along the West Coast from San Diego to Canada.

I saw major explosions of the glory of God and revival fires burning in San Diego, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Fullerton, Pasadena, and all throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding regions, and Stockton, Sacramento and Redding; into Medford, Grants Pass, Eugene, and Portland, Oregon; and into Vancouver and Seattle, Washington; and also Vancouver, B.C.

Last year while ministering in Grants Pass, Oregon, I saw the angel Winds of Change moving up and down I-5. This angel was the angel that sparked revival in Lakeland just a few months later.

2. I then saw Interstate 95 on the East Coast, running from Maine to Miami, pelted with fires of revival.

The cities that stood out were Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Savannah, Richmond, Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, and all throughout New York City; also New Haven, Connecticut and Providence, Rhode Island. I saw a massive fire in Boston on the cross roads of the east where 90 and 95 meet.

Last year I had a visitation from the Lord Himself in January as we were starting off the year at the Boston Cross Roads Glory conference. The Lord came to me during the worship service and handed me two stones—one red and the other green. He said to me, “Jeff, this nation has seen the natural government established here in Boston, but now they are going to see My government established here in the States.”

The Lord then said, “See, Jeff, My government is upon My shoulders.”

The stones the Lord had given me were the Urim and the Thummim which were placed upon the shoulders of the High Priest. In the Old Testament, these stones would determine the precise will of God in every situation. Jesus is the Head and we are His Body and carry His government in the earth! Boston will burn with a fire so hot that they will come from the nations of the earth to behold the glory of God.

3. I saw Interstate 90/94 running from Boston to Seattle.

Along it I saw cities like Albany and Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo, New York. I saw Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio; and Chicago and Milwaukee, Madison and the Fox River Valley in Wisconsin; Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Fargo, North Dakota; I saw Billings, Montana; Spokane and Seattle, Washington—all burning with different levels and degrees of the glory of God.

4. I saw Interstate 10 running from Jacksonville, Florida, to Los Angeles, California.

Along this revival highway I saw Tallahassee, Florida and Mobile, Alabama. Houston and San Antonio, Texas were burning with an intense heat. Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona to L.A. were all ablaze with glory fire. I believe many cities will have invitations to host the presence and the spirit of revival, but only some will receive.

5. Lastly, I saw Interstate 40 running through the middle of the United States.

Bob Jones had seen a similar vision last year and called it the “40 Revival Highway.” In this vision, I saw a similar thing with key regions overrun with angelic activity and explosions of the power and glory of God.

Starting on the East Coast I saw Raleigh, Greensboro and Asheville, North Carolina, engulfed in flames. Knoxville and Nashville were some of the brightest revival flames burning on the map, as raw hunger would be the fuel that would feed these revivals. Memphis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, and back to Los Angeles, were aflame.

The Lord also revealed to me other circuitry that would work within these revival highways and spark new life into regions as Heaven invaded in days to come. The Lord showed me what He called the “Topeka Triangle” that runs from Topeka, Kansas, to Houston, Texas; then up the I-10 through Phoenix to L.A.; and then back to Topeka forming a revival triangle. Topeka was key to the Azusa Street Revival.

His Glory Will Be Seen Upon You

We are in a season where the waves of revival are beginning to build again—this time it will spill upon whole, corporate bodies of Believers in key cities and regions. These miracle angels have been sent to America to fan the flames of revival and will respond to our faith and believing, as we gather together in expectation of the Lord. Our sense of wonder, expectation, and childlike faith will draw these miracle angels to our meetings with powerful demonstrations of the Kingdom of God. As we continue to provide the fuel of love and holy awe to the moving of God, the atmosphere will become electric—resulting in mass explosions of revival fires that will burn bright for the nations to see!

The Azusa Street revivalist, William J. Seymour, prophesied in 1909 that within 100 years there would be a release of the Shekinah Glory of God that would burn brighter than what took place during the Azusa Street Revival. During that revival there were incredible miracles that marveled the masses—like limbs growing out! God is preparing the Body of Christ to shine with this glory that the nations would see and come to the brightness of our rising! Isaiah 60 says that His glory will be seen upon you!

Are you ready to shine with His Glory? Get ready for suddenlies of God!

THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD!
Jeff Jansen Rebukes a Tornado on Good Friday – Watch Video Below

On Good Friday, April 10, 2009, an EF-4 tornado emerged on the outskirts of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The intensity of an EF-4 has devastating damage with winds up to 166 to 200 mph, and brings complete destruction of well-built residences, large sections of school buildings. As it began to sweep through Jeff’s ministry’s side of town, the tornado ripped to shreds anything that stood in its way. Jeff Jansen, founder of Global Fire Ministries, stood outside the office with a few of his staff who had a video camera in hand.

When the tornado appeared in the distance, many people in the community ran for cover—the tornado was heading directly for us! Jeff rebuked the tornado and immediately it dissipated. As it lifted, it only took moments before it was directly over the office. The fierce wind blew for minutes—except for the several seconds when we were directly in the eye of the storm. Before exiting Murfreesboro, it touched down again on the other side of town causing more damage.

Despite all the destruction the tornado caused, many buildings, families, and lives were spared because of the Power of the Spoken Word. As Spirit-filled sons and daughters of the Kingdom, we have authority over the elements (wind) like Jesus demonstrated when He walked the earth. This is an example of the authority that we possess as the offspring of God. To watch this incredible minute and half video click here.
